Sommerfuglekys/Butterflykiss

SOMMERFUGLEKYS/
BUTTERFLYKISS
premiere June 18.th. 2026
A performance about transformation, beauty, and transience.
Inspired by the Large Blue butterfly – a rare species found in Denmark only on the island of Møn – the performance unfolds through poetic portraits of women from different times and places.
From Maria Sibylla Merian to Frida Kahlo and Loïe Fuller, we encounter individuals driven by curiosity, artistic vision, and lifelong passion.
The performance develops as a collage of stories, dance, costumes, and transformations. The butterfly becomes both a real creature and a symbol – an image of life’s fragility and humanity’s longing for meaning.
Butterfly Kisses is a celebration of all that transforms us and connects us.
The performance is suitable for children, young people, and adults, from approximately 10 years of age and up.
